Karachi (Sapeher Times) Make Anti-Polio Campaign Successful in Manghopir Town: Commissioner Karachi Eradication of Polio Is a National Responsibility, Says Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi.

Karachi (Sapeher Times) Karachi An important meeting was held under the supervision of Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi to review and further strengthen the ongoing anti-polio campaign in Manghopir Town.

Chairman Town Municipal Corporation Manghopir Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi, President PPP District West Abid Hussain Satti, Vice Chairman Rana Muhammad Arif, UC chairmen, vice chairmen, councillors and other concerned officials attended the meeting.

The meeting reviewed the ongoing anti-polio campaign in different areas of Manghopir Town, the presence and performance of polio teams in the field, monitoring of children receiving vaccination drops, creating awareness among parents and measures to secure public cooperation for the prevention of polio.

Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi appreciated the efforts being made by Manghopir Town and stressed that local government representatives and political organisation office-bearers should play an active role in their respective areas to make the campaign more effective.

He directed that parents who, for any reason, are reluctant to administer polio drops to their children should be approached through effective and positive communication. Their concerns should be addressed and they should be properly informed about the importance of polio vaccination so that no child remains deprived of the protective drops.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman TMC Manghopir Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi said that the eradication of polio is a national responsibility and that comprehensive and coordinated measures are being taken across all union councils of Manghopir Town.

He said that protecting children from polio is a collective responsibility and that local representatives, political workers, polio teams and citizens must work together to achieve the objective.

Vice Chairman Manghopir Town Rana Muhammad Arif also assured full cooperation for the success of the anti-polio campaign and expressed his commitment to ensuring effective monitoring in his respective areas.

At the conclusion of the meeting, all participants unanimously expressed their commitment to taking joint and coordinated measures to make the anti-polio campaign successful in all union councils of Manghopir Town.
