Islamabad (Sapeher Times) DIG Islamabad Chairs Zoom Meeting on Law and Order, Directs Enhanced Security and Effective Policing Islamabad Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Ali Waseem chaired a Zoom meeting to review the law and order and security situation in the federal capital, directing officers to strengthen security arrangements, enhance field policing and ensure effective action against criminal elements.The meeting was attended by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, SSP Security/Operations, zonal SPs, SDPOs and SHOs. The overall law and order situation, security arrangements at important locations, crime prevention measures and action against criminal elements were reviewed in detail.DIG Islamabad directed officers to utilize all available resources to protect citizens’ lives and property, with particular focus on effective surveillance of important locations, enhanced patrolling and checking of suspicious persons and vehicles. He instructed officers to personally review security arrangements in their jurisdictions, address any gaps and maintain close coordination with field teams to ensure a prompt response to any untoward situation.

He stressed that security arrangements should remain under continuous review according to the prevailing situation and directed officers to ensure visible, professional and proactive policing. He said protection of citizens’ lives and property is the foremost responsibility of Islamabad Police and no negligence in security arrangements would be tolerated.On the special directions of Federal Minister for Interior Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and IGP Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, Islamabad Police is also continuing measures for the prompt resolution of citizens’ issues. In this regard, DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem and SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza held open courts at their respective offices and heard citizens’ complaints.DIG Islamabad said that citizens can approach open courts without hesitation or recommendation to present their issues. Complaints can also be registered through the IGP Complaint Cell at 1715. SSP Operations directed the concerned officers to take legal action on marked applications within the stipulated time and submit reports.SSP Operations said that Islamabad Police follows a zero-tolerance policy towards violence against women and children and that all applications will be decided on merit. The protection of citizens’ lives, property and dignity, along with the rule of law, will be ensured at all costs
