Islamabad (Sapeher Times) IGP Islamabad reviews investigation system and effective prosecution of cases,According to the details, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired an important meeting attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, SSP Investigation, SP Complaints, and officers of the Legal Team.The meeting reviewed the investigation system, legal affairs, timely redressal of citizens’ complaints, effective prosecution of cases, progress on pending cases, transparent delivery of justice, and measures to further improve the overall standard of policing.IGP Islamabad directed that all investigations be conducted strictly on merit, in accordance with evidence and the law. He instructed officers to ensure the prompt resolution of citizens’ complaints, dispose of pending cases on a priority basis, and maintain close coordination with the prosecution to ensure the effective pursuit of cases in courts. He emphasized that no negligence or laxity in the discharge of duties would be tolerated, as maintaining public confidence in the police remains a top priority.Later, IGP Islamabad held a separate meeting with DG Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joya and Major Ijaz of the SWAT Force. The meeting reviewed the modern surveillance system, intelligence-led policing, the command and control mechanism, emergency response capabilities, and the operational preparedness of the SWAT Force.IGP Islamabad directed the officers to make maximum use of modern technology for the timely prevention and detection of crime, strengthen coordination among different police units, further improve emergency response time, and ensure that the SWAT Force remains fully operationally prepared to respond to any emergency situation at all times.IGP Islamabad also met with SP Headquarters Pari Gul Tareen to review administrative affairs, the welfare of police officers and personnel, the efficient utilization of available resources, and the quality of public services being provided.He directed that welfare initiatives, administrative efficiency, and community-oriented policing be further strengthened, while ensuring the transparent use of resources and promoting professionalism, transparency, and accountability at every level.
