According to the details, a special Iftar dinner was organized at Police Lines Headquarters Islamabad on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, along with senior police officers, attended the ceremony. Female police officers and women from various other walks of life also participated in the event.During the Iftar dinner, tribute was paid to police officers, the brave women of Islamabad Police, and the families of martyrs. On this occasion, the IGP Islamabad stated that the role of women in Islamabad Police is in no way less than that of their male counterparts. He said that female police officers in Islamabad Police are demonstrating their best abilities alongside men in all departments. Women police personnel are also playing a remarkable role in maintaining law and order, controlling crime, and community policing.He further stated that efforts are being made to provide a better working environment for female police officers so they can perform their duties effectively. He emphasized that providing equal opportunities and a safe environment for women is essential for social development. The IGP Islamabad also paid tribute to the brave mothers, sisters, and daughters of the martyrs and ghazis of Islamabad Police.Later, the IGP Islamabad held an open court at the Central Police Office Islamabad under the open-door policy. Citizens and police officers attended the open court and presented their issues and complaints. The IGP Islamabad carefully listened to the complaints of citizens and the concerns of officers and issued clear instructions to the relevant officials on the spot for their immediate resolution.On this occasion, he stated that resolving citizens issues promptly on the basis of merit and transparency is the top priority of Islamabad Police. He further added that if any citizen faces a police related issue, they can freely come to the open court and present their matter without hesitation.
