Islamabad (Sapeher Times) A police employee who was dismissed on serious charges of providing covert support to criminals involved in collecting extortion from illegally residing Afghans, as well as negligence of duties in the dense and sensitive area of Rawalpindi, has been reassigned to Pirwadhai police station. Upon his return, he has started taking retaliatory actions against local residents and the business community.Sources revealed that this police official, within the limits of the police station, has been using abusive language, misbehavior, threats, and a revengeful attitude towards citizens.According to sources, during his previous posting, the said official presented himself as a special associate of the area SHO. With the collusion of nearby “duty officers” during night hours, he supervised the unloading of non-custom-paid smuggled goods, including cloth, cigarettes, gutka, pan, blankets, utensils, cosmetics, and other illegal/prohibited items, under his personal supervision. He was dismissed due to these fake operations and other serious negligence during duty.Sources present in pirwadhai further stated that the said official has constructed properties in three areas of the city through property investments made with illegal income. He is also accused of facilitating those running prostitution businesses and drug sellers within the limits of the concerned police station. Sources added that the police official has previously been involved in collecting extortion from illegally residing foreigners in exchange for facilitating their secret hideouts. However, despite all these allegations, the officers who brought the said official back to the police station are “happy.”
