Islamabad (Sapeher Times) Assistant Commissioner Pothohar and Magistrate I-9 Raja Shoaib Afzal conducted a surprise operation outside the Excise and Taxation office and arrested 9 touts involved in providing illegal facilities to citizens in various government matters and collecting additional money. According to the spokesperson, AC Pothohar and the magistrate conducted a surprise operation against touts active around the Excise office after receiving public complaints. During the operation, 9 people were detained and transferred to the police station, where legal action has been initiated against them. On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner Pothohar said that indiscriminate action will continue against elements misleading citizens, illegally collecting money and interfering in government affairs outside government offices. He clarified that the public does not need any touts or agents to avail government services and all work is done as per the prescribed rules and regulations.

AC Potohar appealed to the citizens that if they see touts, agents or people involved in illegal activities outside any government office, they should immediately inform the administration so that effective and timely action can be taken against such elements. The citizens appreciated this action of the administration and expressed the hope that such steps will increase transparency in government offices and provide direct and better facilities to the public.
