Islamabad (Sapeher Times) IGP Islamabad reviews capital security, key sites and VIP protection,,According to the details, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired a meeting. The meeting was attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, SSP Special Protection Unit Muhammad Arslan Shahzaib, SSP Counter Terrorism Department Saud Khan, and other senior police officers.During the meeting, the overall security situation of the federal capital, including sensitive installations and the protection of important personalities, was reviewed.IGP Islamabad emphasized the need to further strengthen the security system and align it with modern requirements. He directed that counter-terrorism measures be enhanced through the use of technology, intelligence sharing, and inter-agency coordination.He further stated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property must be ensured at all costs and that no negligence will be tolerated. He directed that intelligence-based operations be made more effective, strict monitoring of suspicious elements be ensured, and patrolling in sensitive areas be increased.IG Islamabad also directed that coordination between control rooms and field units be improved to ensure prompt response in emergency situations. He stressed the effective use of Safe City cameras and modern surveillance systems, maintaining high alert security at important installations, diplomatic centers, and public places, and improving the professional training of police officials in line with modern standards.He further directed that all officers perform their duties with transparency and integrity, and regularly review and update security measures according to the situation. IG Islamabad reiterated his commitment to making the capital a safe and peaceful city.In addition, the IG Islamabad held a meeting with AIG Logistics Abdul Haq Umrani to review administrative matters of the logistics division and the welfare of police officers and personnel He directed that basic facilities, modern equipment, and transport be provided to police officers in a timely manner, while housing and medical facilities be improved and logistical support be organized effectively.At the conclusion of the meeting, he directed all officers to perform their duties professionally to further strengthen public trust in the police.
