Islamabad (Sapeher Times): Following directives from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Attock Rao Atif Raza, Chaudhry Shafqat Mehmood spearheaded a significant enforcement crackdown in Fateh Jang today, targeting illegal encroachments and unfair pricing.
Markets across the town were inspected, violators fined, and unauthorized structures removed. Chaudhry Shafqat Mehmood warned that repeat offenders would face stricter action. Shafiq Garments was inspected in response to public complaints, with prices verified against citizen receipts. Public rate lists were mandated, and all goods are now being sold strictly according to government-approved rates.
The crackdown also extended to Fateh Jang’s fruit and vegetable markets, delivering immediate relief to shoppers. “We will not tolerate profiteering. Citizens must not be exploited under my watch. My doors are open 24/7 for grievances, and I personally monitor market conditions as a customer,” said Chaudhry Shafqat Mehmood.
Residents praised the operation, calling it a strong step towards fair pricing and law enforcement. The initiative reflects Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s leadership, ensuring a safe and consumer-friendly commercial environment in Fateh Jang.
