ISLAMABAD (Sapeher Times) Operation Ghazb-ul-Haq; Military and political leadership ready to protect Pakistan at all times

ISLAMABAD (Sapeher Times) Pakistan is a responsible country that seeks peace with dignity. The launch of Operation Ghazb-ul-Haq against the Afghan Taliban regime on the occasion of the victory celebration of Operation Swift Retaliation is a reiteration of Pakistan’s commitment to protecting national sovereignty.
Military and political leadership are ready to protect Pakistan at all times. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says that a zero-tolerance policy should be adopted for the Fitna al-Khawarij, Afghan Taliban regime nexus. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited GHQ, where he received a detailed briefing on the situation from the military leadership. He said that the actions of the Afghan Taliban regime, Fitna al-Khawarij, against Pakistan are unacceptable, and the Pakistani forces under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir are always ready to protect the country.
Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan knows very well how to defend itself against any aggression. It should be noted that Pakistan’s Operation Ghazb al-Haqq is ongoing against the unprovoked actions of the Afghan Taliban regime on the Pak-Afghan border. 133 Afghan Taliban operatives were killed, and more than 200 were injured in the attacks by the Pakistani forces, while 27 Afghan posts were also completely destroyed.

Some time ago, DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated in a press conference that the terrorists had received the response they should have received, as if the entire nation was standing united in the fight for justice. The same scenes were seen yesterday as well.

He said that in the befitting reply, 274 Khawarij were killed and more than 400 were injured, more than 73 posts of the Afghan Taliban regime have been completely destroyed, 18 posts of the Taliban regime have been captured, 115 enemy tanks and armored vehicles have been destroyed and captured.

The spokesperson of the Pakistan Army said that the Afghan Taliban also brought small and large weapons and quadcopters. Wherever the attack was launched, the Pakistan Army gave such a befitting reply that the world saw that the terrorists who facilitated them were selectively targeted.

DG ISPR had said that 22 air target-based operations were carried out in Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, Khost, and Paktika. No civilians were killed in these areas in the targeted-based operations; brigade, battalion headquarters, sector headquarters, and weapons depots were targeted.

He said that in the attacks, the cowardly Afghan Taliban fled, leaving their checkpoints and bodies behind. While fighting against the enemy, 12 soldiers have been martyred so far, 27 soldiers were injured in the operation, and one soldier is missing.

The Pakistan Army spokesperson said that the nations of Pakistan are standing in front of the Pakistan Army, behind it, right and left. It should be noted that Pakistan’s Operation Ghazbad-ul-Haqq is ongoing against the unprovoked actions of the Afghan Taliban regime on the Pak-Afghan border. In the attacks of the Pakistani forces, 133 Afghan Taliban operatives were killed, and more than 200 were injured, while 27 Afghan checkpoints were also completely destroyed.

Pakistan Air Force has celebrated the victory day of Operation Swift Retaliation on February 27, 2019. Pakistan has carried out airstrikes on Kabul and Kandahar. The armed forces are determined to give a strong response to the unprovoked aggression. On the other hand, the Pakistan Army is giving a strong and effective response to the unprovoked aggression of the Afghan Taliban. It has captured 5 Afghan posts in the Paktia region and hoisted the Pakistani flag. The captured posts are opposite Doshwaal, opposite Dwangorada, and opposite Zarmalan. During the operation, the Pakistan Army also destroyed the Afghan terminal of Angoor Adda. The Afghan Taliban forces were effectively targeted with artillery and quadcopters, as a result of which they suffered heavy losses. After the operation, the Afghan Taliban also waved the white flag on the posts several times, indicating to surrender. Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar said that 133 operatives of the Afghan Taliban regime were killed. More than 200 Afghan Taliban regime operatives were injured, and Afghan Taliban defense targets were targeted in Kabul, Paktia, and Kandahar. More Afghan Taliban casualties are likely in Pakistan’s counterattacks. 27 posts of the Afghan Taliban regime were destroyed, 9 posts were captured. 2 corps headquarters, 3 brigade headquarters of the Afghan Taliban regime were destroyed, 2 ammunition depots of the Afghan Taliban regime, and a logistics base were destroyed. 3 battalion headquarters of the Afghan Taliban regime were destroyed in the counterattack. 2 sector headquarters of the Afghan Taliban regime were also destroyed in Pakistan’s counterattack. Atta Tarar said that more than 80 tanks, artillery guns, and APCs of the Afghan Taliban were destroyed. Pakistan’s effective counterattack is underway against the aggression of the Afghan Taliban regime. Security sources said that the Pakistan Air Force is operating in Kandahar. After the airstrike, Pakistani jets patrolling the airspace of Kandahar, the Pakistan Air Force has destroyed the Paktia 205 Corps headquarters. Meanwhile, drone attacks by the Afghan Taliban-backed ‘Fatana al-Khawarij’ have been foiled in the Abbottabad, Swabi, and Nowshera districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The terrorists tried to launch attacks in these areas using small drones; however, Pakistan’s modern anti-drone defense system took timely action and destroyed all the drones of the Fitna al-Khawarij in the air. There was no loss of life or property in these incidents. These failed attacks have once again exposed the nexus between the current Afghan Taliban government and terrorists operating in Pakistan on a global scale. Sources further say that these cowardly acts from across the border will be responded to with full force. On the other hand, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that our patience has run out, now we have an open war with you, now there will be a full-scale war. The Defense Minister tweeted on the social media platform X that the Pakistani army did not come from across the sea, we are your neighbors, we know your times. It was expected that there would be peace in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of NATO forces. The Taliban government spokesman confirmed the bombing of Kabul, Paktia, and Kandahar. According to Afghan media, an airstrike targeted a Taliban military base in Kabul at around 1:50 am. He added in the tweet that it was expected that the Taliban would focus on the interests of the Afghan people and peace in the region, but the Taliban turned Afghanistan into a colony of India. The Taliban gathered terrorists from all over the world in Afghanistan, and the Taliban started exporting terrorism. The Taliban deprived its people of basic human rights, the Taliban took away the rights that Islam gives to women, Pakistan tried to normalize the situation directly and through friendly countries. Pakistan did a lot of diplomacy, but the Taliban became a proxy for India. The Taliban committed aggression, so thank God our forces are giving a decisive response. Pakistan’s role in the past has been positive; it has hosted 5 million Afghans for 50 years, and even today, millions of Afghans are earning a living on our land. On the other hand, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry said that even a country seven times bigger than it had to face hardships, it could not raise its head till today; the Afghan Taliban did not have the courage to occupy any post. The Minister of State for Interior said that before Iftar, an attack was attempted on one side of the border, the Pakistan Army retaliated vigorously, and Pakistan did something for its neighbor that it would not have done itself. A major response has been launched against the Afghan Taliban regime. On the other hand, Pakistan Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu said that Pakistan is a supporter of peace, but there will be no compromise on sovereignty. Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, the Pakistan Air Force Chief said that Pakistan is a responsible and peace-loving country; however, those who challenge our sovereignty have always misjudged it, to which the Pakistan Air Force has given a befitting reply every time. The enemy had tried to target Pakistan’s security in the dark seven years ago, to which the Pakistan Air Force gave a befitting reply in broad daylight and thwarted the enemy’s intentions. Referring to the “Battle of Truth”, the Pakistan Air Force Chief said that for the first time, the Pakistan Air Force successfully carried out complete multi-domain operations, during which modern enemy aircraft like Rafale, Sukhoi 30, Mirage 2000, and MiG-29 were shot down, and bases and ground assets located far within the enemy’s territory were targeted. The Air Chief revealed that the enemy’s most advanced S-400 air defense system and their command and control centers were also completely disabled in this operation, adding that despite financial pressure, the Pakistan Air Force is moving towards innovation, which includes acquiring unmanned systems, electronic warfare, space, and cyber assets. The establishment of a locally developed ‘multi-domain kill chain’ is a major milestone in the air force’s defense capabilities; on the other hand, the security forces are responding effectively to the enemy’s unprovoked aggression. Pakistan has launched airstrikes on the Afghan cities of Kabul and Kandahar. Fearing airstrikes, the Taliban leadership has started moving into caves. Several Afghan Taliban hideouts have also been destroyed near the Kurram sector. The security forces are responding with full force, which has destroyed the hideouts of the Afghan Taliban, while the Khawarij have fled. Their check post in the Chitral sector was targeted with great precision and destroyed. The Afghan Taliban opened fire at various places on the Pak-Afghan border, in response to which the Pakistani security forces responded vigorously in the Naugai sector of Bajaur, Tirah Khyber, Mohmand district, and Arandu sector of Chitral. Two enemy posts were destroyed in Bajaur. There are confirmed reports of the death of 22 Afghan Taliban regime personnel. An attempt to attack the check posts of the Pakistani forces using a quadcopter was foiled. The Pakistani security forces are continuing to shell with small and large weapons, while drones are also targeting a number of enemy posts. The Afghan Taliban are spreading false claims and fake videos in the media and on social media. Earlier, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said in a statement issued on the social media platform X that the Afghan Taliban regime’s unprovoked action has been responded to promptly and effectively. They misjudged and opened fire at several places without provocation. According to the statement, the Afghan Taliban fired at several places across the border in KP. The forces responded befittingly to the unprovoked aggression. A full response has been given in Chitral, Khyber, Mohmand, Kurram, and Bajaur sectors. The Ministry of Information said that according to initial reports, the Afghan Taliban regime has suffered heavy casualties and material losses. Several posts of the Afghan Taliban were destroyed in the retaliatory action of the forces. Pakistan will not compromise on its territorial integrity. Pakistan will take all measures to protect its citizens. The most prominent feature of this operation was speed and accuracy. Mission planning, intelligence coordination, air defense alerts, and decisive action in the air proved that the Pakistan Air Force is not only defensive but also effective. It is a modern air force with a response strategy. International military observers also acknowledged that the response of the Pakistan Air Force was limited, proportionate, and in line with the principles of strategic deterrence. In this operation, the Pakistan Air Force, on the one hand, demonstrated professionalism and, on the other hand, fully adhered to the agreed rules and regulations of war. During the air operation, targets were selected in such a way that the message was conveyed and unnecessary clashes were avoided. This proved that the Pakistan Air Force not only possesses military power but also involves responsibility and wisdom in its use. The training, nerve strength, and decision-making ability of the Pakistan Air Force pilots came to the fore on this occasion. Establishing air superiority in a limited time, forcing the enemy aircraft to retreat, and ensuring complete protection of its airspace, all this was evidence that Pakistan’s air defense line was ready at all times. This operation changed the regional security dynamics and also sent a strong strategic message. South Asia is a sensitive region where even minor military tensions can become a prelude to a major conflict. In such an environment, Operation Swift Retort made it clear that Pakistan’s defense doctrine is not based on aggression but on deterrence. That is, a strong and reliable defense system that prevents the enemy from venturing into adventure. This operation redefined the balance of power in the region. The message was given that Pakistan can not only defend its air borders but is fully capable of responding quickly and effectively to any aggressive action. This strengthened strategic stability and proved that the guarantee of peace is not weakness but a strong defense. We also saw the evolutionary continuation of Operation Swift Retort in Operation Banyan Marsus 2025.If Operation Swift Retort of February 27, 2019, was a milestone, Operation Banyan Marsus of May 2025 can be seen as the next link in this continuum. The period from 2019 to 2025 was a period of technological and ideological evolution for the Pakistan Air Force. The induction of modern fighter aircraft, the growing importance of unmanned aerial vehicles, the upgrading of air defense systems, and the use of precision-guided munitions are proof that Pakistan has adapted its strategy, keeping in mind the changing threats.
Air defense is no longer limited to aircraft alone. It has also included cyber security, space-based surveillance, electronic warfare, and data integration. The coordinated use of all these elements in Operation Banyan Marsus was a sign that the Pakistan Air Force has become a multi-domain operating force.
The Pakistan Air Force has not neglected the most important elements of preparation, training, and readiness at any moment. The success of any air operation depends not only on weapons but also on people. Over the years, the Pakistan Air Force has kept its manpower in tune with modern requirements through training systems, flying hours, simulator-based training, and joint exercises. This is why force readiness emerges as a practical reality at the time of every challenge.
Both Operation Swift Retort and Operation Banyan Marsus testify to the fact that the readiness of the Pakistan Air Force is not just a paper plan but the result of practical exercises and a coherent command structure.
