Addressing the National Assembly session, former Foreign Minister and leader of the People’s Party Hina Rabbani Khar said that India took a foolish step while Pakistan showed responsibility but our patience was considered weakness. She said that Pakistan’s capabilities were always ignored but the Pakistani army has proven its capabilities all over the world. The former Foreign Minister warned India that justifying cross-border attacks in the name of counter-terrorism operations would set a dangerous precedent. If such an argument is accepted, Pakistan can also justify operations in India where we have evidence of Indian state terrorism. Referring to the Pahalgam incident, he said that India launched attacks on Pakistan using this attack as a justification. What should we do if a terrorist incident occurs in Pakistan? Hina Rabbani Khar said that if so, Pakistan can also attack India in retaliation if evidence of India’s involvement in incidents like the Jaffer Express attack is found. Hina Rabbani Khar criticized India for weaponizing terrorism and flouting international laws and said, “Are you all no longer bound by the UN Charter and the parameters of international law?” He asked, “Are we no longer part of Article 25, which obliges all countries to uphold the UN Security Council resolutions?” Criticizing Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unilateral announcements regarding occupied Kashmir, the former foreign minister asked whether the world is expected to “pay tribute” to Narendra Modi after such claims. He also said that the Indian narrative has started to be seen by the world and now US President Donald Trump has also recognized the Kashmir issue as controversial. Hina Rabbani Khar also praised the national unity during Operation ‘Banyan Marsus’, while mocking India and saying that we not only buy ‘high-tech toys’ but also train them to use them. He added that India has been trying to isolate itself from Pakistan diplomatically for the last 15 years, this strategy of the Indian government has failed, it tried to defame Pakistan in front of the world in which it failed, if India is serious about dealing with the problem of terrorism, it should not run away from negotiations. Later, two private bills were also passed with the support of the majority in the National Assembly session, one of which was the International Examination Board Bill 2024 and the Home Institute of Science and Technology Bill 2024. Both the bills were first reviewed by the relevant standing committees and later approved.

( Asghar Ali Mubarak) ISLAMABAD (Sapeher Times) In the National Assembly session on the recent tension between Pakistan and India, the members of the National Assembly, while praising the role of the Pakistani army, declared Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi a ‘certified terrorist’ and warned that he can go to any extent for political gain […]

[63,7

post-38115","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-63","category-pakistan-news
["GET
